Motus One

MOTUS ONE provides fleet management and mobility services to leading OEM automotive brands.  The goal with this branding project was to establish a bold and simple mark that operates as an established, yet not dominating disruptor in the automotive services industry.

This visuals shows the mark being used on the business card and letterhead designs for the brand and the website and landing page of the app.  All assets were designed with the intent to keep information simple, short and to the point.


Woods + Dangaran

 

WOODS + DANGARAN is an architecture firm operating in Los Angeles.  The legendary mid-century modernism movement has so much history in Southern California, so creating a brand that was an homage to the simplicity of that era while also feeling contemporary was the goal for this project.

We refined the logo they had already established.  Then, created a system for representing the brand and contact information throughout various assets including the business card, business envelopes, letterhead, note cards, labels and custom graph paper pads for the office and as client gifts.  The logo was developed and treated with detail and precision.  Every spacing decision, character height and overall geometry of logo is crafted.


Cre•8 Music Academy

CRE•8 MUSIC ACADEMY offers curated classes to musicians and producers at all levels.  They operate in the historic Westlake Recording Studios in Hollywood, CA.  This is where Michael Jackson recorded some of his biggest hits.  It has also been home to other award winning musicians throughout the last 60 years.  So, providing a logo that didn’t compete with that history was important for the client.  They wanted something new and fresh and influenced by technology as a way of expressing the tools and techniques that are standard now in the music recording industry.

A strategy for the brand was developed and a logo was designed that represented both modern recording control boards and the legacy of wax pressed records and the linear quality of sheet music.

Depending on the asset and the environment the logo is to be represented, we established options that compliment any need and also create depth visually for the brand. The brand style guide was created as a poster to hang in the offices of the academy.  We wanted this asset to feel informative and technical, while establishing in simple ways the perimeters of the brand and its usage.


Seek Retreat

 

SEEK RETREAT is an online marketplace for yoga retreats around the world.  They offer an online place where instructors, venues and customers can all come together in a seamless, and simple way to plan, host and participate in a variety of yoga retreats.  They operate with a core group of instructors and internally sourced venues to bring the best offerings to the yoga community.

This project involved brand strategy and branding from the earliest stages of the concept.  We sat in on meetings discussing the brand, the purpose and ultimately the company goals as a team.  A mark was established after a very thorough process to explore multiple concept directions.  Every detail about the brand and logo is inspired by the core beliefs of the company.

The logo represents the ethereal quality of the brand, the lotus flower petals of the core mark, while also representing the practical nature of the brand as the petals become a compass rose expressing direction and a journey for each individual participant of the marketplace. For the style guide, we believe that all parts of the brand and the brand guidelines should be informed by the very principles and goals that a particular brand believes in at its core. The landing page of the website show the simplicity of the design we delivered so that instructor, venues and customers could easily navigate to their intended destinations.


Motorcycle Mover

MOTORCYCLE MOVER is a motorcycle transportation services brand operating with passion and care in California.  They believe the industry of motorcycle transportation and storage was lacking real care and experience.  By investing in new technology to make loading and unloading of someone’s valued asset easy and safe, this brand excels as providing world-class service.  They needed a brand that equally provided the appearance of being established, precise yet also appealing to the motorcycle lifestyle that is prevalent among the community.

We arrived at a concept that combined a representation of an historical event in motorcycle culture and clean, simple design choices. Expressing the icon with precise lines and simplicity, we were able to communicate these two parts of the brand in a cohesive and cool logo.

The business cards were designed to be versatile, from general information handout cards, to individualized designs for each employee. The landing page of the website is simple and clean, the copy is complimented by custom photography shot specifically for Motorcycle Mover.
